When our kitchen crew got hungry during a late-night shift, someone had the brilliant idea to raid the pizza station and dump those toppings over a basket of our crispy fries. What started as chef's midnight munchies became our most addictive appetizer - because sometimes the best combinations happen when nobody's watching.

Loaded Pizza Fries - The Ultimate Comfort Food Mashup
Transform ordinary fries into an irresistible pizza-inspired feast that'll have everyone fighting for the last bite. This indulgent appetizer brings together the best of both worlds with crispy golden fries, tangy marinara, melted mozzarella, and savory salami.
Ingredients
1 lb frozen french fries or 2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
1/2 cup marinara sauce
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into chunks
3 oz salami, diced
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook fries according to package directions until golden and crispy, or if using fresh potatoes, toss cut fries with olive oil and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
2
While fries are cooking, heat marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring in garlic powder and oregano. Keep warm.
3
In a dry skillet over medium heat, cook diced salami for 3-4 minutes until edges are crispy and fat is rendered. Remove from heat.
4
Transfer hot fries to a large oven-safe platter or cast iron skillet. Drizzle warm marinara sauce evenly over fries.
5
Distribute torn mozzarella chunks and crispy salami over the sauced fries. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
6
Remove from oven and immediately garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot while cheese is still melty.
