Word for word, what a caller hears before we text them — and what happens when they say yes, and when they say no.
OwnerClone Inc · This is the one opt-in with no screen to look at, because it is spoken. Every other one is on our SMS terms page.
A guest telephones the restaurant to place an order. The restaurant's automated phone assistant answers. Nothing is texted to a number we have not asked, and the question below is asked once — the first time that number ever calls.
“Can I send you a text so you can follow along on the screen and put in your address and payment information? Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime.”
This is the whole disclosure, and it is the only wording used. It is one string in our code: the assistant speaks it, the record of the caller's consent stores a copy of it, and this page prints it. They cannot say different things.
The yes is recorded with the time, the call it was given on, and the caller's own words. Only then is anything sent. The first text repeats the disclosure in writing:
Later calls from that number get the link without being asked again. Every text carries “Reply STOP to opt out”, and a STOP ends all of them immediately.
Nothing is texted, then or ever, and the caller is told how to do it without a text:
“You can also go to our website, create an account and log in to add your address and payment.”
The order carries on by voice. Saying no costs the caller nothing — it is never a condition of ordering.
Nothing is texted. “What?” or “Sorry?” gets the question again, word for word. Anything unclear counts as no answer at all, and the assistant only asks again later if it needs the link to take an address or a card. A yes with a “but” behind it (“okay, but don't text me”) is not a yes.
For every caller who says yes, we keep:
The answer is read from the caller's words by our own code, not inferred by an AI model, so what is recorded as a yes is the caller's yes.
A yes here covers texts about that caller's order: the link to follow it and add an address or card, and that order's updates. It is not consent to marketing. Offers require a separate, unticked box, which is on the restaurant's website and never ticked by anything else.
